            Besides these, the advent of technology has enabled stories to be told on the computer screen with more colourful visuals (as witnessed from “The Unknown”) and animation. This obviously makes reading more fun, interactive and engaging to a reader. Hence, with this emergence of a new era in hyperfiction, it has definitely brought with it, a total new meaning to reading.

            However, it wasn't long before the "seemingly fun activity" took a twist. I became slighted irritated. With such an "inexhaustible" world of fiction at my fingertips, I felt a bit frustrated knowing that it is quite impossible to finish the entire fiction. Besides, the effects of a strained eye and back were taking their toll on me and this unfortunately, aggravated my agitation. In hyperfiction as can be seen, there can be "discomfort" and no actual ending in reading as the reader himself, sort of decides when he wants to stop. But, the problem here is that the reader will not know when he can stop as he doesn't know, in the first place, if he has covered most of the text. this can put a reader off especially if it's his first attempt in hyperfiction like myself here. This is different compared to reading a book where a reader can see the actual pages remaining and hence, know his progress. This I realized, can have a positive psychological effect on a reader.
